Profile
Little is known about Wenzel, his occupation was listed as baker and it is understood he shared a third class cabin near the bow of the ship with Josef Arnold, Anton Kink, Vincenz Kink and Albert Wirz. He boarded the Titanic at Southampton and perished in the disaster.
His body was recovered by the Mackay-Bennett and he was buried in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Halifax, Nova Scotia. His mother assumed he had joined the Titanic as a steward and applied for compensation under the Workers Compenstion Act. The London consul confirmed Linhart had boarded as a passenger and his mother eventually received £50 from the Titanic relief fund.
