Albert Wirz, 27, was a farmer from Buchholz, Switzerland. After the death of his mother, his father remarried. The younger sister of his step mother emmigrated to Wisconsin in America and in 1912 Albert asked his aunt for a job.
He left home on April 10th with his sister Bertha, who accompanied him to Zürich.
Albert was a friend to Anton Kink and his family and he boarded Titanic as a third class passenger with them in Southampton. He was awoken by the collision but Albert never stood a chance to enter a lifeboat. He perished in the diasaster. His body was recovered by the Mackay-Bennet on April 24th and he was buried in the Oakwood Cemetery, Beloit, Wisconsin.
