Josefina was the daughter of Guiseppe and Elisabeth Franchi-Blank. She lived in Altdorf, Kanton Uri, Switzerland with her husband, Josef Arnold. 

They received prepaid tickets from relatives in Wisconsin but were unable to pay for their young son to come with them, so Josef (b. 1911) was left with his grandparents. They boarded Titanic in Southampton and Josefina was in the third class cabin R190 along with her husband's cousin Aloisia Haas, Maria Kink, Luise Kink and her young daughter Luise Kink.  

Josefina and her husband both perished in the disaster, and their bodies, if recovered, were never identified.
