Profile

Young Master Jack was travelling with his mother Lily, sister Kate and Uncles Richard and Stanley May to Ireland for a family driving holiday. Jack's father did not go with them as he was away on business in Birmingham.

The family booked passage returning to Swansea on their return and attended the memorial service at St. Paul's Cathedral.

The family photograph collection from the short voyage have become very well known. Kate took many of the photos in the roll, including one of the last known photos of the ship as they were on the tender heading to Queenstown.

Jack was not a survivor of the wreck but he would be the longest surviving male passenger of the doomed ship.
