Marjorie was travelling with her parents, Harvey and Charlotte Collyer. They were travelling to Idaho to begin life as peach farmers after Charlotte was diagnosed with  tuberculosis. The hope was that the climate would prolong her life. 

A picture of Marjorie and her mother has become one of the most commonly reproduced and colourised photos of Titanic passengers online, and the family story is a heartbreaking example of what so many familys endured that fateful night and the lasting impact it would have.
