Profile
Farid was born in Lebanon circa 1893 and in 1912 was working as a farmhand in his hometown of Shānā. A relative, Nāsīf Qāsim Abī-Al-Munà, probably a cousin, returned from the USA to marry. As he preapred to return to the US, it was agreed that Farid would join him.
They travelled with another young relative, Husayn Mahmūd Husayn Ibrāhīm, and their destination was Fredericksburg, Virginia, where Nāsīf had made his home and a succesful business.
The only survivor from the party was Nāsīf. In later years when interviewed he never made reference to the fate of Farid.
